心と体の健康と癒しをテーマに、交流の場をつくりたい。日常から離れて、心も体もゆったりと開放してほしい。一人ひとりがいきいきと生きるための、そのお手伝いがしたい。「栃堀の風」はそんな思いでオープンした農家民宿です。
いきいきと生きているって、一体どういうことでしょうか。食べ物による「体」の食事で、身体が維持されていること。人との交流や、心やすらぐ環境・空間、香り、色彩、芸術といった「心」の食事で心が満たされていること。健やかに生きるには「心」と「体」両方の食事が必要なのではないでしょうか。

We are seeking to create a community focused on mental health and healing. We want you to find peace far from daily life and be able to open and relax your mind and body. We want to encourage people to live their lives. The Guesthouse “Wind of Tochibori” was opened with these ideals in mind.
What does it mean to live our lives? It means to nourish our bodies, with good food, and our minds through interactions with people, a relaxing environment and space, aromas, colors, and art. In order to live healthy, you need to have food both for your mind and your body.
With the nature that is spread around Tochibori village, we would be happy if we could provide you with a relaxing time to get to know yourself through delicious meals, various experiences, and meeting new people.
栃堀集落
about Tochibori village
新潟県東蒲原郡阿賀町・上川地域にある「栃堀」は、御神楽岳と人ケ谷に囲まれた人口40世帯ほどの集落です。常浪川（とこなみがわ）の澄んだ水と緑に囲まれたここでは、春夏秋冬の移ろいを日々肌で感じることができます。
Located in the Kamikawa area of Aga-machi, Higashi-Kambara-gun, in Niigata Prefecture, “Tochibori” is a village with a population of about 40 households that is surrounded by Mt. Mikagura and Hitogatani Valley. Surrounded by the clear water of Tokonami river and greenery, you can watch the nature change every day in all seasons.
色かざぐるまについて
our symbol
築70年以上の木造古民家の姿をほぼそのまま残している当宿。建物には細工を凝らした素晴らしい建具が残されており、そこに施されているのが、当宿の象徴とする「麻の葉文様」です。
栃堀の大地を吹く穏やかな風によって、空、川、土、植物、作物、息づく人や動物、それらすべてが共生し、ゆっくりと回り続ける…「麻の葉文様」から着想を得て生まれた「色かざぐるま」には、そんな意味が込められています。
This Guesthouse has maintained most of its original form as a wooden private house, built more than 70 years ago. For a long time, there have been wonderful crafted fittings in the house with the “hemp leaf pattern”, which is now the symbol of the Guesthouse.
The gentle wind blowing through the land of Tochibori brings a sense of peace to the sky, rivers, soil, plants, crops, people and animals that live there… you can see this wind in the slow-moving “hemp leaf”. Our “Irokazaguruma” (colorful pinwheel) was created to track these winds, moving along with every living thing.

12.5畳の和室が居間となります。かつてあった囲炉裏の煙で燻され、色味を変えた太い梁が天井に渡されています。
The Japanese-style living room has 12.5 tatami mats (about 22 m2). A thick wooden beam crosses the ceiling, and you can see how the color has been by the smoke of the old-time hearth.

居間と隣接する、8畳・6畳の二間続きの和室が寝室となります。敷布団でゆっくりとお休みください。
These Japanese-style rooms with 6 and 8 tatami mats size (11 and 14 m2), next to the living room, are available as guest bedrooms. Please have a good rest in the futon (Japanese bedding).
建具

もともとこの家に残されていた建具ですが、凝った細工が素晴らしく、そのまま使用しています。当宿の象徴である麻の葉文様はこの建具から考案しました。
This fitting is original to the house and the elaborated work is so wonderful that we use it as is. The hemp pattern, the symbol of our Guesthouse, was inspired by this fitting.
神棚

あまり見たことがない、この大きく立派な神棚もこの家に残されていたものです。神様を大切にする土地柄がよく表れています。
This big and respectable Kamidana (small shrine for a house) is also original to the house, and its style is very rare. Gods are important to this village, and you will see that well represented in this Guesthouse.

2016年11月より阿賀町の地域おこし協力隊 地域振興担当として活動。阿賀町の美しい自然と土地柄に魅了され、2017年に上川地区栃堀集落の一軒家へ引っ越す。2018年に阿賀町への定住を決め、3年間の協力隊任期を終えた今も阿賀町で民宿の運営やイベントの開催を行なっている。
また、色を手がかりとして潜在意識・深層心理へのアプローチを行うカラーセラピスト、自然の中を散策する中で心身のリラックスをサポートする森林セラピーガイドとしても活動中。どちらも心と体の健康と癒しを得るべく提供を行っている。
Since November 2016, I have been in charge of regional promotion of the national program “Community-reactivating Cooperator Squad” in Aga. I was so fascinated by the beautiful nature and characteristics of this town, that I moved to this house in the Tochibori village in the Kamikawa area in 2017. In 2018, I dug in my roots and began operating this Guesthouse and holding local events.
I also work as a color therapist who studies the subconscious and deep psychology of my patients using colors as a clue, and I’m also a forest therapy guide that encourages the relaxing of the mind and body while strolling in nature. Both my activities support mental and physical health and healing.

車でお越しの場合

お車の場合、磐越自動車道 津川インターチェンジより約20分で到着です。
また、駐車スペースは3台分ほどございます。
It takes about 20 minutes by car from the Tsugawa Interchange on the Banetsu expressway.
There are three parking lots.
バスでお越しの場合
If you come by bus
①JR磐越西線 津川駅の敷地内にある新潟交通「津川駅前」バス停から「広瀬方面行き」に乗ります。
(1) Take the “Toward Hirose” bus from the Tsugawa train station, the station is on the JR Banetsu-saisen line.
②約30分後、「栃堀」で降車します。バスの進行と同じ方向に歩いていくと「色かざぐるま」マークの看板が左手に見えてきます。
(2) After about 30 minutes, get off at the “Tochibori” bus stop. Walk in the same direction as the bus goes, and you will see our sign with the pinwheel symbol on your left.
③看板の徒歩約1分で到着です。チャイムを鳴らしてお声がけください。
(3) It takes about a minute to walk from “Tochibori” bus stop. Please ring the bell and call us.

この宿での暮らしは、まさしく自然と隣り合わせ。野山で遊び、美味しいごはんを食べ、ご近所の人と一緒に作業し、綺麗な川や本物の夜、満点の星空に感動する…。ゆるやかに流れる時間の中で、人々が生きています。
Staying at this Guesthouse will allow you to be right next to nature. Playing in the mountains, eating delicious rice, working with neighbors, and being amazed by the beautiful rivers and the starry sky—these are all things you can do. People here live life slowly, relaxed. There is no hurry.
